Serving the Needs of Children

As a Parent Evaluator or Forensic Child Specialist, I am retained as an expert to give my opinion in a legal action as to which parent is the “best fit” for the children to serve as the primary residential or custodial parent. I base my opinion on factors that include, but are not limited to, each parent’s capacity to parent, their physical and emotional health, developmental needs of the children and family, social and community attachments.

As Guardian ad Litem (GAL), I serve as a court appointed guardian to investigate and to represent the best interests of the children, when there is a significant dispute about custody or residential time. As a GAL, I investigate the issues and file reports with the court, attend all court hearings, mediation sessions, and the trial to represent the interests of the child.
